You Might Be a Mother of Boys If...

...you have, on your toilet, a sign like this:

Need a closer look?
Yes, boys who sometimes have trouble with their "aim" are helped by friendly reminders to "Put your P in the _otty!!"

That second picture makes it look like we have a gold toilet. Well, we don't. I guess the combination of the lighting in the bathroom along with the editing I did of the picture to make the words dark enough to be legible produced a golden toilet glow that is not present in real life. Our toilet is white, just white.

Except when little boys miss. ;)

  1. Just because I'm a photo nerd I'm going to tell you that the color is off because your white balance is wrong..lol. Tungsten light is very yellow :)
I saw that sign when we were at the fellowship and I had a good chuckle. Too cute!

  2. Ah, white balance! That's one of those photography terms that I've heard of; but when I think about it, I just feel this fuzz in my brain. It happens a lot when I think about anything technical that's related to photography.

I surely am glad for "photo nerds" like you. Feel free to tell me what's wrong with my pictures anytime. I really mean that. :)

  4. Funny! There was a sign in the womens' bathroom at my husbands work on the wall behind the toilet:

"If you're facing this direction, you are in the WRONG bathroom!"

  6. Very cute! Sometimes littly boys need a reminder! My parents have a sign in their bathroon that says, "My aim to keep the bathroom clean. Your aim would help."

  7. Oh my. We could use that sign at my house. When we move a requirement for our next home is a bathroom large enough for a urinal. Seriously. My boys need help. ;)

  9. So far, Paul nearly always sits for his bathroom operations, so we don't have much trouble. I DECLARE I can teach any boy of mine bathroom etiquette that will include cleaning up any messes he makes. We'll see if I can accomplish that.

  12. This is hilarious! Love the creative way you have of reminding them. And, like you, I know practically nothing about white balance; Misty could teach me something about it, too. It all seems very complicated!
