A Boy and His...

...brother...
...and a couple of wooden sword-like sticks...
= a spirited, friendly fight and a chance to show off one's valor.

*****

A boy and his blocks...
= hours and hours of fun, imaginative play.

*****

A boy and his snowman...
...even when they haven't seen each other since last year...
= cuddly hugs and almost more adorable cuteness than I can stand.  :)

*****

A boy and his grandpa, having a little man-to-man talk in rocking chairs...
= treasure!

I'd have to agree with you on all of these!

Do your boys pick up any kind of stick every time you go out for a walk? Mine certainly do!

Kirsteen, yes, they do! We have lots of trees around our house, and we burn wood to heat our home, so we always have plenty of sticks around. The hard part for me is knowing which ones are the valuable ones that must not be burned! I'm sure I've occasionally put a treasured "sword" or "gun" into the woodstove, but fortunately the boys are always able to find another one. :)

Adorable!! Love the sword fight.. who one? Sammy wanted to get Daddy a sword so they could fight off the bad guys today :-) I could build with blocks for hours and hours!! Snowman.. ohh how I wish we would get one snow with enough snow to build a man.. but the stuffed snowman.. totally worth hugging.. and that last picture might be the most adorable picture I have seen in a long time!

Wow - that last picture is award-winning. Bravo, you're building a treasure-chest of memories with shots like these.
