~ David in our English walnut tree yesterday afternoon
While reading Margie's blog this evening, I came upon this quote from Anna Quindlen: I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less.
That's what I'm trying to do, but some days I'm more successful than on other days. Let's face it - some hours I'm more successful than other hours. I hope tomorrow I'm less intent on crossing things off my mental to-do list and more aware of the fleeting preciousness of these days. Even if Tobin does a repeat of his performance tonight and vomits. If he does, may I remember, as I clean him and his surroundings, to treasure the doing.

LOVE the quote! Thanks for sharing :)
That is definitely a quote for me today. I'm so often eager to get on to the next thing that I fail to enjoy the thing I'm in now.
Oh, Davene. Thank you. Thank you for your comments, and for reminding me AGAIN to treasure the doing. I have to work on that every day and it's really hard when exhaustion clouds everything. It's so easy to forget.
I wanted to leave another comment to acknowledge your word "vomit." I hope the practice is limited to Tobin, that his experience this go-round is limited, and that you have spent only limited time dealing with it.
And I hope you're getting some rest.
Thanks for this reminder. And, your boys are so cute! That's a really neat picture of David, and your new header for Oct. is great. I hope things are improving over there. We're having colds and fevers with Paul and Hannah, and I hope they are soon getting better too. But, at least there hasn't been any vomiting!
