At least I'm not spinning my wheels IN strawberry jam. Regardless, today was one of those days in which I had high hopes for getting SO MUCH accomplished; but at the end of the day, I found myself thinking, "Hmmmm. Did I actually do anything at all today?"
I did have fun tonight with Emily on our DQ Blizzard run. :)
My parents did celebrate 47 years of marriage today. Happy anniversary to two of my heroes!!! (Previous anniversary posts here and here and wedding pictures in this recent post).
I did print out directions and information for an upcoming homeschool conference we'll be attending.
I did make 5 and 1/2 pints of strawberry jam...
...but that happened two days ago so that doesn't count.I did not finish going through the pile of paperwork by the telephone.
I did not fold the clean clothes languishing in the laundry baskets.
I did not shine my sink tonight.
Oh, well. Maybe tomorrow will be a more productive day!

Yum, jam!
This is a total shot in the dark, and I'm sure its isn't, but I have to ask: Its not the CHEO conference, is it?
There are days like that! I spent the whole day sitting in the hospital waiting room -- well, 4 hours there and the other four in the car getting there and back. So I possibly win the award for the least actually accomplished in a day! At least you got your printing done!
Please don't come look at my mountains of CLEAN laundry waiting to be folded!!
Y'know, somedays it seems like "we" only get 1 or 2 "things" done, when we've actually worked at something all day. I started counting Susannah's bath and my own shower as "things" b/c they take careful timing, and take time! LOL! (Plus then I can feel like I got another "thing" done that day :P)
I had fun too!!! Ahhh, lovely cookie dough... :)
Morning, but you have the distinct advantage of creating a human being inside you, so you're being wonderfully productive every minute of the day!! :)
Bonnie, no, not CHEO. HEAV is the one we're going to. Gotta love these acronyms. :)
you mean, laundry isn't considered done once it is out of the dryer and back into a laundry basket? shoot. I've got some work to do. :)
Maybe you will run into KT...she has a friend graduating and will be there for the weekend. Just left. Miss her already!!!
LOOK at that Jam! It is gorgeous!!! I am too unsure of my abilities to do much canning. So we make freezer jam. I like the fact that it uses a less sugar to fruit ratio as well. We do apricot and what ever other fruit strikes our fancy, But I really want to do raspberry this year. Your photo is so inspiring!
Stacey,
Thanks! Actually, that jam I made is freezer jam. I put it in glass jars with plenty of space in the time for it to expand, and it does just fine. :)
We do can some stuff, but I just love the fresher taste of freezer jam so I always do strawberry jam that way. :)
