Simple Sunday - Josiah's Art

~ thankful for Josiah's love of paper, pencil, crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, COLOR!...thankful for his creativity...thankful for the good artistic genes he got from the Fisher side (because obviously, they didn't come from the Huffman side!) :)...and especially thankful for one of his latest works of art--this Christmas tree, with its rows and rows of colored lights and its angels winging through the air as well as perched on the top, is my favorite piece he's ever done...something about it makes me happy whenever I see it

How patient an artist he must be...that's quite a treasure...

Nice tree, but I really like his paper (must be left-overs from the office!).

Wow -- that's a beauty. Boo seems to have no interest in drawing or colouring at all. How about David?

Sally, that's funny that you noticed the paper! Yes, you're right--cast-off from the office. We never have a shortage of scrap paper around here, that's for sure!

Morning, when you said that about Boo, it reminded me that when Josiah was young (probably 2 years old), I lamented his seeming lack of interest in using crayons. Boy, has that changed!

David also enjoys coloring, primarily because his big brother does it! Today, in fact, they stayed busy with a box of crayons and Christmas coloring pages I printed off the Internet. They wanted to make a pretty picture to hang on each door of our house. :)

With that said about David, it is also true that he doesn't have nearly the patience or long attention span that Josiah has, when it comes to drawing and coloring things-not yet, anyway.

Wow! I'm impressed he was able to draw such a detailed picture. What a treasure. The lights and the angels are terrific. Is drawing his bent?
