This Calls for a Celebration!

Three years ago today, I ventured uncertainly but enthusiastically into the world of blogging. I remember vividly the thoughts I had: this is fun, but will I keep it up?? Not ever having been a tremendously consistent journaler, I had serious doubts about my ability to stick with this. Three years and 1,141 posts later, I have my answer. It's still fun; and yes, I'll keep it up!

To celebrate, how about a giveaway? To be entered for this drawing, simply leave a comment on this post by Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 12:00 noon. I'll have one of my boys help me randomly choose a winner.

And the prize? A $15 gift certificate to Amazon.com. The winner should be able to find something she (or, improbably, he) likes there. :)

All of this just to say THANK YOU for sharing our life here on...

Oh - pick me! So love Amazon (mind if I borrow this idea for my anniversary in a couple of weeks?). You know, I hope, that I love your blog b/c it makes me - and I speak for all of us, I suspect - feel like family. Thanks for including us as you go through your days on Sylvan Drive.

Wow! 3 years!
I always appreciate the fact that you are a "cheer-leader" for me, encouraging me, and sharing your
heart on my blog. I also appreciate you being real with us on your blog. You share it all, the good, the bad and the in between. Some blogs are so sugary sweet your teeth hurt just reading them, but you are REAL, and those are the blogs I can relate to.
It makes me glad that people can be friends with out having actually ever met.
( and seeing that you have posted 1,141 times makes me realize what a lousy commenter I have been!, I need to do better!)
Wonderful job my friend!
Hugs-
Bonnie

Congratulations!

After a quick bit of math, I have decided that I am amazed at your blogging prolificness (I know, that's not a word)--you have posted an average of 380 posts a year! More than once a day for three years! Crazy! I love it--keep it coming!

wow...I love reading your blog and getting to re-know you after so many years. It's kind of funny to think we've "known" each other since I was in 1st grade, and all these years later we have actually gotten to know each other. :)

Nooooo!! I just missed it by a couple of hours. Mind if I get down on my knees and beg to be entered? If not, I understand. It's worth coming out of the woodwork and commenting on a giveaway post...
