The Funnies

I'm not feeling so hot today. The fever & cold junk that my boys have oh-so-lovingly shared with each other during the past week has come to rest upon me now. I don't feel horrible--just "not very good." Since my goal is an early bedtime tonight (and the thought of that is sustaining me during these daylight hours), I'm just going to do a quick post today. If anybody sees me up blogging near midnight tonight, please go unplug my laptop and make me go to bed, OK? :)

Every once in a while, as I meander through Blogland, I run into something worth saving--so I save it so I can run into it again someday! Here are some things I found recently and enjoyed:

Delicious Words for Lexophiles - things like "I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me." and "When the smog lifts in Los Angeles, U.C.L.A." If you're a fellow lexophile, you'll like this.

And then there's Tim Hawkins' look at "A Homeschool Family."
This has been around for a little while, and I'm sure some of you have seen it before. But it still makes me laugh, probably because (as with all great humor) there's an element of truth to it. Sure, Tim exaggerates and generalizes and stereotypes; but hmmm, I can recognize my family a little bit in it.

Especially the part about the van. Yep, we wish we had one of those. :)
