Decorating a Christmas Tree 101

...according to Josiah.

Rule #1 - Wear pajamas while decorating the tree. Being comfortable makes the job easier and more enjoyable.

Rule #2 - Take your job very seriously. Being giddy and silly is for other times and places, NOT while decorating the Christmas tree.
Rule #3 - Be willing to sacrifice your body for the cause. If you must dive headfirst into the Christmas tree to place an ornament in the perfect spot, by all means, do it!
Rule #4 - Clustering the ornaments is a nice effect. Why spread them out evenly over the tree when you can hang them conveniently in one spot? A half-dozen red apples right beside each other is a lovely touch. And if you can squeeze a white bell into the same space, don't hesitate to do so.
Rule #5 - Let your ornament placement make sense. Of course, this angel would need to be looking inside this little olivewood stable to see what was going on in there and how the baby Jesus was getting along. Where else would the angel possibly want to be?
If you follow these valuable pieces of advice, you are GUARANTEED to have a tree that...wins awards? no ...draws "ooos" and "ahs" from all your guests? not exactly ...is a masterful showpiece unsurpassed by the most talented decorators? nah ...is a beloved part of your children's childhood memories? absolutely!!!

All I could think as I looked at Josiah diving into the tree was "I hope he doesn't have allergies, that kid is going to be covered in hives" :) His ornament hanging is beautiful though. Great job!
