Progress

Well, something is happening...

About 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, my water broke. That has never happened to me before, since with my other pregnancies, my water didn't break until the doctor or midwife broke it right before I started pushing.

I talked with the midwife on call (Barbara), and she said I can wait at home for a few hours to see if the contractions increase...which is exactly what I wanted to hear since I don't like spending hours and hours in the hospital before birth. So it's still technically a waiting game, but with the end so much closer!

To say my adrenaline is running high is quite the understatement!!!

I'm off to take a shower...one of those pre-going-to-the-hospital rituals that I always seem to follow. :)

Just to let all of you bloggers know that Tobin Ezra Fisher was born approx. 6:30 p.m. This is a proud grandpa reporting. Grandma and Jeff was in attendance and I am the babysitter. God is so good. This was the best time for me to babysit. Harold Huffman

Way to go, Grandpa, for being the faithful babysitter so that Grandma could be with Jeff and Davene. We were praying for you, too! What a memory you have made with your grandsons, I'm sure!

Congratulations, Davene and Jeff! (Thanks for keeping us posted, Doc!! and for "holding down the fort" and the Indians!)

Tobin means "God's goodness" (and He ceratinly was and is!) and Ezra means "Helper"--and if my memory serves me well, is Granpa's middle name. May this little one live out these meanings as he learns to glorify his Lord Jesus!

We look forward to pictures and the rest of the story!!
Love to all!
