Our celebration tonight for him was low-key, to say the least; and I'm grateful that at 2 years of age, he's mighty pleased if anyone simply looks at him and says "Happy birthday, David!" With Josiah being sick, I didn't even accomplish the very minimal amount of preparation that I was planning to do for his birthday...so we didn't have a home-cooked meal tonight (Jeff brought home pizza, and we shared that with my parents), or a birthday cake (but I did give David an Oreo after he ate some pizza, and he was thrilled!), or presents or even a card (maybe tomorrow???). However, we did enjoy being together as a family, and we did sing "Happy Birthday" to him; and we do thank God with overflowing hearts for the wonderful gift of having David as our son!
He has changed so drastically over the past two years. Here is a glimpse in pictures...
