Josiah's House

Our kitchen...this evening...

Dinner was over, and the eternal question came from Josiah's lips, "What should I do? I don't have anything to do." How can a child have so many toys, so many books, so much of everything!...and still say they have nothing to do??? :)

This time, I said, "Would you like to build something with the blocks?" And amazingly, the answer was yes...unlike the many times when I give two or three choices and none of them sound appealing to him.

So Josiah got busy and used all the blocks to build quite an interesting, colorful house with a very tall chimney...and the kitchen was peaceful as he worked happily at his project. I'm always grateful for moments like these!
